Because the original coffee filters are not archival and would fade, these images are Artist's Proofs and are limited edition archival digital prints. Due to the different stains that various brands of coffee can create, each image is unique. Yes, these were used to brew coffee. Any art created with out of the ordinary materials is called "extreme." The soft tones are very unique and with some subject matter resembles ancient wood cuts. This makes a great conversation piece as well as wall decor.
